主题:Help with keyboard and mouse -- truth
My PC USB mouse is broken and got a PS/2 mouse, made some mistakes deleting logitech registry entries. Now the keyboard doesn't work too.
Now the situation is,
PS/2 keyboard, PS/2 mouse, all USB unplugged, all works well in Linux. But on Win2003 (same PC) keyboard no response, mouse works in the logon screen, but when I press a key, mouse stops working. Seems some conflicts there. But even I disconnect mouse, keyboard still not working.
Keyboard works in repair console and lilo, before win2k3 is loaded. Clearly this is driver problem. The thing is, since keyboard no response I cannot even login to fix problem. Can I login by mouse? Does any high-hand has any clue how to fix this? I don't want to reinstall. Thanks.
in trying to restore registry. Finally decide to
copy windows\repair\system windows\system32\config
and keyboard works again. Hopefully other hives are untouched and I can keep most program settings except services.
