Shannon (the secretary) has lost her cat and has asked David (the graphic designer) to help with a lost poster. This is their email correspondence...

Hi

I opened the screen door yesterday and my cat got out and has been missing since then so I was wondering if you are not to busy you could make a poster for me. It has to be A4 and I will photocopy it and put it around my suburb this afternoon.

This is the only photo of her I have she answers to the name Missy and is black and white and about 8 months old. missing on Harper street and my phone number.

I know, but that one is cute. As Missy has quite possibly met any one of several violent ends, it is possible you might get a better cat out of this. If anybody calls and says "I haven't seen your orange cat but I did find a black and white one with its hind legs run over by a car, do you want it?" you can politely decline and save yourself a costly veterinarian bill.

结论是：不熟，不好意思啊！

不是这个行业的，摸不着头脑。

试想你丢了一只猫，想贴一张“寻猫启事”，那些图里哪个是你自己想贴到外面墙上的？

特别是那句独白，更是要命。BY THE WAY，这个段子是大家拿土产吗？手机号看起来象澳洲啊，难不成大家拿的号码也是这样？

，我来评一下。其实平面设计不只是设计一个图形或版式，是要解决实际问题的，在文中的设计师就不合格。

首先，任何设计都是要达成“客户的需求”，在笑话中的Shannon Walkley就是做一个“寻猫启示”，目的就是找回猫，对这种小小设计单，最简单的方式就是找一个同样的“寻X启事”，照猫画虎，做一个就OK了，如果按David Thorne的方式，会饿死人的，一个“寻猫启示”，就做了七稿。

结论：这个设计师不合格，平面设计不只是形式设计，主要还是要解决问题的。

有时间，我也做个“寻猫启示”大家看一看。

不过从恶搞角度说，换个哭泣的巴勒斯坦小女孩，就更有意思了。搞成巴以冲突是因为一只猫走失造成的。

在校园里，总有很多支持巴勒斯坦人，描述以军如何残暴的海报。就用这种小女孩哭天抹泪的图像煽情，然后背景配上以军的坦克和巴勒斯坦人抬棺材之类的。

我以为这个大卫要勾引香农

我还怀疑大卫绑架了那只猫，来挑逗香农呢。

要不咱把海报改成基地给人质砍头那张？大卫拿把刀，对着可怜的猫咪。配上大标题——“Marry Me or Behead Him!"

Sorry can't type Chinese right now. The joke's point is, anyone that's computer literate can make a lost cat poster. If you're too lazy or too stupid to do that, and dare to ask a professional graphic designer, in a not-so-polite way nonetheless, to take out precious (and probably costly) time to do it for you, then you deserve what you get, hehe.

By the way, if Shannon the secretary can't do a simple poster like that, then she's not qualified to be the secretary of a designer firm in the first place :)
