颜兄，别来无恙！

想起上中学时候看了好多漫画，习惯竖排的字，从右向左的排版……一部《篮球飞人》，让一代男童子们从此爱上了篮球.

记得当时是在开往北京的列车上听见邓公逝世的消息，全车厢的乘客都静默了......这位人物，厚实朴重而又经历传奇，也推动了一个国家的传奇式的变革。

每每念及邓公，总能想起先贤孟子的一句话，天将降大任于斯人也，必先苦其心志，劳其筋骨，饿其体肤，空乏其身，行指乱其所为，所以动心忍性，曾益其所不能。

然后，便总觉不敢妄谈历史。谈历史要谈出门道，一定要有历史感，要有政治智慧。

很喜欢Lord Acton的这段关于历史和政治的论述，与河友分享：

“Politics,” said Sir John Seeley, “are vulgar when they are not liberalised by history, and history fades into mere literature when it loses sight of its relation to practical politics.” Everybody perceives the sense in which this is true. For the science of politics is the one science that is deposited by the stream of history, like grains of gold in the sand of a river; and the knowledge of the past, the record of truths revealed by experience, is eminently practical, as an instrument of action and a power that goes to the making of the future.
